What is Medical Dermaplaning:
Dermaplaning has increasingly gained attention from License Estheticians and their educated clients because of the numerous benefits this treatment has on skin. This procedure exfoliates the epidermis by the use of (a single use surgical blade with a rounded end) to remove vellus hair and a layer of dead skin cells. Leaving the skin looking smoother, brighter and can also reduce fine lines and light acne scarring.
Makana’s Dermaplaning Course is designed to teach its students how to professionally perform this service with emphasis on safety protocols. The student will learn the following:
- How to properly setup up her service area.
- Proper sanitation requirements needed to perform a service.
- Contraindications pertaining to Dermaplaning.
- How to choose the correct skincare to compliment a Dermaplaning service.
- Proper technique of using a single use surgical blade.
- Customer after care and proper skincare maintenance.
The course includes an extensive student training kit and manual. There will be a live demonstration, each student will receive a treatment and also will get hands on training with guided support from the instructor. Certification upon completion of course.
